Paris Baguette North America plans to reach 200 stores by the end of 2024. In the first nine months of 2024, the bakery-café chain added 32 new locations and signed 118 franchise agreements, setting the stage for a strong performance in 2025.
With significant growth in store openings and 53 new franchise agreements signed in the third quarter, Paris Baguette North America is on track for a successful year ahead.
Owned by SPC Group, a major food and beverage company, Paris Baguette began its operations in the United States in 2005 and started franchising in 2015. The first Canadian store opened in March 2023.
During the three months ending September 30, 2024, the chain opened nine new locations, including its first in Tennessee, bringing its total to 189 stores in both the U.S. and Canada, with seven locations in Canada.
The company aims to open 20 more stores by the end of 2024 and has set an ambitious target of 1,000 stores in North America by 2030.
Additionally, the chain is looking for a master franchise partner in Mexico, where it believes there is potential for over 100 new stores.
Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette North America, expressed excitement about the growth:
"The momentum we’ve built over the course of the year has been incredible. We expect to open about 20 new cafés across North America before the end of the year, including our 200th North American café, which is a significant milestone for us."
To support its growth, Paris Baguette North America appointed Norm Ginsberg, a former Bowlero executive, as its new Vice President of Operations in August 2024. He will oversee all operational aspects of the café network, including compliance and franchise support. Brian Egan was also promoted to Vice President of Development to assist new franchise owners in preparing to open their cafés.
